I have a few projects I’m working on for friends, and many are patterns I’ve never done before.
Right now I am working on a puppy for my friend’s birthday gift. I don’t know if this will actually look like a dog head or not, but I think it might pass as a cute hat 😂

I can always tell how far along I am in a project when the body parts start piling up on my work station (also known as my couch)

So, there is a reason I shouldn’t start projects when I’m tired from a long day at work. When I am sleepy and try to start a new project certain whoopsies can happen. Case in point, the puppy’s body was supposed to be white with light brown accents.

Oh well, this is where a little mistake can add character to the piece. This little guy will have his own character for sure. I tend to think that he wanted to have brown fur and helped me make that decision.

This pattern has definitely been challenging. I had to rip out a large chunk and redo it. I’m trying just to have fun and laugh at my troubles. So, is this my puppy’s leg or a telescope befitting the Titanic? 😂

The funny thing is the crochet stitches I have down pretty good…the whipstiches and finishing touches I’m still getting used to, but he’s getting better.
Jack the Puppy is finished and ready to be sent to my friend for her birthday. I hope she likes him.
